Both Giles and his wife Leanne enjoyed successful Real Estate careers in London and came to Australia for a long holiday in 2006. They travelled around Australia in a small Toyota Town-Ace van whilst Giles wrote a monthly column called "Pom On The Road" for a well known WA fishing magazine. Like many people, their wheels got stuck in Broome and here they have remained. Proud 'locals' after birthing 3 children in the local hospital they look forward to many more years in beautiful Broome.
